A business plan writer for Canadian loans and investors

A lender reads a business plan looking for one thing: whether the numbers hold up and the money goes where you say it will. I write the plan around that, from your figures, with a 12-month cash-flow forecast and a use-of-funds table they can check line by line.

Why not just use an AI generator?

You can. AI-generated plans sell for around $300, and for a first draft of your own thinking, that's fine. Canadian consultancies and accounting firms commonly charge $2,000 to $10,000, depending on how complex the financials are. This sits in the middle, at $3,400 for a lender-ready plan. It isn't cheap, and the reason is the bit a generator can't do: someone asking why your year-two revenue doubles, and making sure the answer is in the plan before a loan officer asks.

    Questions about business plans

Will this get my loan approved by the bank or BDC?

I can't promise that, and nobody honest can. Approval depends on your credit, your collateral, the lender's own criteria and the numbers themselves. What the plan does is make your case clearly, with figures a lender can check.

What financials do I need to give you?

If you're trading, recent financial statements or bookkeeping reports. You'll also need quotes for whatever the money will buy, plus your prices and costs. If you're pre-revenue, your assumptions and any signed commitments. I build the projections from these but don't audit them. I'm not an accountant, so if your lender wants statements prepared by one, your accountant does that part.

    How many revisions are included?

Two rounds on either edition. A round means all your comments on one version, which I work through together.

Do you help with the pitch deck?

The investor edition includes a 12–15 slide deck and an investor summary. The lender-ready plan doesn't, because lenders rarely ask for one.

My deadline is tight. How fast can you turn it around?

The lender-ready plan takes 3–4 weeks and the investor edition takes 4. Tell me your date when you book the call. If it won't fit, I'll say so before you pay any deposit.
